Barry W. Glaze Sr., 52, of Pevely died Oct. 18, 2015, in Pevely. Mr. Glaze was a welder with Glaze Welding in Pevely and Nooter Boilermaker Corp. in St. Louis. Born Nov. 21, 1962, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Flora (Elder) Dean and Oda Ray Glaze.
He is survived by his longtime companion: Carolyn McAulay; two sons: Barry W. “BJ” (Amanda) Glaze Jr. of Pevely and Jason (Erin) Glaze of Shawnee, Kan.; two daughters: Heather Dunn of De Soto and Brittany (Brandon) Osia of De Soto; three stepchildren: Shannon (Tyrone) Burk of Archibald, Ohio; Christie Powell of Toledo, Ohio; and Douglas (Dawn) Kizer of East Strasburg, Pa.; four brothers: Ronnie (Susan) Glaze of Bonne Terre, Dwight (Joyce) Glaze of Crofton, Md., Warren (Jan) Glaze of Pevely and James “Jake” (Cathy) Glaze of Cadet; a brother-in-law: Larry Rawlins of Desloge; 16 grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lady Dutchess.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Sharon Glaze and Debbie Rawlins; a brother: Guy Glaze; and a nephew: Toby Glaze.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. and a funeral service at 7 p.m. today (Oct. 23) at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
