A ceremony will be held Saturday (June 15) at the De Soto Farmers Market to recognize Debby Campbell, who is retiring from Get Healthy De Soto, the group that oversees the market.
The short, informal ceremony will be at 8 a.m. at the market, 520 North Main St. It is open to the public.
Campbell, 71, of De Soto is Get Healthy De Soto’s founder and executive director.
She is retiring this month, after 15 years with Get Healthy De Soto, a nonprofit organization that works to improve local residents' health and welfare.
The Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from late April or early May through October.
In addition to the De Soto Farmers Market, Get Healthy De Soto oversees the Better Body Challenge each year, as well as a variety of other projects.
