The Hillsboro Horse Show and Fall Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 5) at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 10349 Business 21, in Hillsboro.
General admission is $3. Children 6 and under, active military with IDs and those over 65 are free.
Registration for the horse show will begin at noon and the show, which will feature 27 classes of competition, will start at 2 p.m.
A chicken dinner hosted by Fountain City Grill will be served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cost is $8.
The festival will feature musical entertainment, reenactments, kids’ activities and games, horse care and training demonstrations, pony rides, a corn hole tournament, a pumpkin patch, a craft village, and food and merchandise vendors.
The first 100 children admitted can paint a pumpkin for free.
