Guffey Elementary School students, staff and parents took part in the 2017 Fox Trot, winning a $500 grant from the C-6 Educational Foundation.

Guffey Elementary School won a $500 grant last year for signing up the most people for the annual fundraising Fox Trot. Don't miss out on the chance this year to win your favorite Fox C-6 School District school the $500 prize.

The C-6 Educational Foundation will award the grant to the school that gets the largest number of people to register for the upcoming Fox Trot 5K and 1-mile fun run-walk, to be held Sat., Sept. 29, at Arnold City Park. The 5K begins at 9 a.m. and the fun run/walk at 10 a.m.

Entry is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the run/walk. Proceeds will go to the foundation, which provides educational and welfare grants to benefit students throughout the Fox school district.

The overall male and female winners each will receive a $100 cash prize, and the 5K winners in each category will receive a medal. All those who take part in the fun run/walk will receive a participation medal.

In addition, Fox Trot participants will receive a shirt, goodie bag, water and snacks. The event will include raffles and music.
