The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of $1,850 in items from Redemptorists Liguori Mission House in the Barnhart area, although it is unknown when the thefts occurred. The Catholic mission house is on Liguori Drive, in an unincorporated area of the county called Liguori.
The report said someone connected to the mission house noticed a gas leaf blower was missing, but thought it might have been misplaced on the property. However, it was later determined to have been stolen. On July 30, a walk-behind mower was discovered to be missing, and on Aug. 15, an electric golf cart could not be found.
All of the stolen items were supposed to be kept in a partially enclosed parking area, Liguori representatives said.
Sgt. Matthew Moore of the Sheriff’s Office said Aug. 27 none of the items had been recovered and there had been no arrests.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
