Vandals struck the old St. Joseph’s Hill Infirmary in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific. The incident was reported Sept. 11, after someone forced open a window and caused about $3,000 in damage to the facility, 265 St. Josephs Hill Road, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The infirmary closed in 2008, according to a website describing the Black Madonna Shrine, which shares the property.
According to the Sheriff’s Office reported, numerous items were damaged at the facility, including a large sliding glass door and four windows. In addition, several fire extinguishers were discharged causing damage to the floors, walls and ceiling.
On Sept. 16, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
