An Arnold woman and a Festus woman, both 41, were arrested for alleged possession of drugs after they allegedly tried to steal a water bottle at the Kohl’s store, 2150 Michigan Ave., Arnold Police reported.
At 2:19 p.m. Sept. 24, Arnold Police were called to the store when the women allegedly left the store with a $36 Nike water bottle. Officers confronted them and discovered the Arnold woman was wanted on warrants from the Arnold Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and St. Louis County Police Department, the report said.
The women arrived at the store in a 2006 Mercury, which allegedly had methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside, according to the report.
The Arnold woman was transported by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County because of a medical condition. However, the Festus woman was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and later released pending application for warrants, according to the report.
Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against both women for possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
