A 29-year-old St. Louis man was arrested at a home in Imperial after he allegedly fled from Arnold Police on a motorcycle that was reported stolen out of St. Louis, Arnold Police Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
At about 5 p.m. Sept. 28, Arnold Police attempted to stop a man riding the stolen motorcycle, a 2013 Kawasaki Ninja, in the 3600 block of the West Outer Road. The man failed to yield, and officers didn’t continue their pursuit, the report said.
Later, however, the motorcycle was found abandoned in Imperial after it had crashed into a 2008 Dodge Caliber, causing an estimated $2,000 worth of damage. The man was found in a home in the 3500 block of Lancaster Drive in Imperial according to the report.
He was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released on bond for an outstanding fugitive warrant issued by the Maplewood Police, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for first-degree tampering, first-degree property damage and resisting arrest, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
