The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of items valued at $11,700 from an attached garage at a home in the 2600 block of Meyer Road south of Festus. Stolen items included a 2004 Yamaha four-wheeler; a 1996 18-foot fishing boat; a Mercury motor and an 18-foot trailer, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

The theft was reported about 6:20 p.m. June 13, after a family member was checking on the house and noticed the garage door was broken off its hinges. The victim said he last saw the items that were stolen on June 7 and did not know when they were taken, the report said.

Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said July 10 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
