A 30-year-old Hillsboro man recently was arrested for allegedly stealing TVs from the Value Place hotel in Arnold and pawning them, says Capt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.

Between Dec. 31, 2014, and Jan. 5, 2015, the suspect and an accomplice allegedly stole four TVs valued at $1,480 from the hotel, Arnold Police reported.

After the theft was reported, Arnold Police identified the Hillsboro man as a suspect, and St. Louis County Police recently picked him up.

At about 2:15 a.m. Sept. 29, Arnold Police went to the St. Louis County Jail and took the man into custody and then interviewed him about the incident, the report said.

He was booked and released pending application for warrants.

Arnold Police will seek felony stealing charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.

He also said Arnold Police are seeking a 27-year-old woman in connection with the theft, but as of Friday (Oct. 9), she had not been arrested.

The two suspects reportedly had worked at the hotel at one time, Arnold Police reported.
