A 36-year-old Fenton woman was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Pomme Road near Glatt Drive in Arnold. The woman was a passenger in a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander officers pulled over because the SUV had plates registered to a Ford Focus, Arnold Police reported.
Officers stopped the vehicle at about 6 p.m. June 28, and the man who was driving previously had been arrested for alleged drug possession, so officers searched the SUV. They did not anything illegal in the Outlander, but they allegedly found a smoking pipe with burnt residue and a bag containing a white crystal-like substance believed to be meth in the woman’s purse, the report said.
The woman already was wanted on warrants from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for drug charges and from the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Office for driving with a revoked license, according to the report.
She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and held for the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
