Eureka Police are asking for help to identify a man and woman who reportedly could be seen on surveillance footage spray-painting vulgar words on at least two garage doors and five vehicles, including two vehicles that belong to the St. Louis County Police Department. The vandalism occurred between 2-5 a.m. July 12 in the Rockwood Parc, Hunters Green and Hunter Heights subdivisions in Eureka, Capt. David Wilson reported.
The male suspect was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and a baseball hat backward, and the woman was wearing a short-sleeved, hooded shirt and long pants, police reported.
The two St. Louis County Police Department vehicles that were vandalized included a 2018 Ford Explorer parked on Rockwood Place Court and a 2012 Chevrolet Impala parked on Top Notch Lane, the report said.
A 2016 Hyundai Elantra and a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder parked in front of homes on Rockwood Place Court also were spray-painted. A garage door on that street also had graffiti painted on it, according to the report.
A 2018 Chevrolet Silverado parked on Hunters Heights Drive and a garage door on that street also had vulgar words spray-painted on them, the report said.
As of Thursday (July 18), Eureka Police were still trying to identify the people in the surveillance video, Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the man or woman or the vandalism to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
