A 27-year-old De Soto woman was arrested in Arnold after police allegedly found a substance believed to be methamphetamine in her purse. The incident happened about 1:50 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave., Arnold Police reported.
Police were called to the store after the woman allegedly was seen in the women’s clothing section trying to conceal merchandise in her purse. When officers searched her purse, they allegedly found items from the store and a clear plastic bag containing three capsules with white powder in them, the report said.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek a charge against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of meth, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
