Lee Richard Gerber Jr., 52, of Crystal City has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for sexually molesting a young girl, according to court records.
Gerber pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of first-degree statutory sodomy, and on Dec. 6, 2019, Jefferson County Div. 2 Circuit Judge Darrell E. Missey sentenced him to 13 years in prison for each of the four charges. However, the terms will be served concurrently, or at the same time. In addition, Gerber will be subject to life supervision, court documents show.
According to the probable-cause statement in the case, Gerber had sexual contact with the girl between March 9, 2012, and June 9, 2014, beginning when the victim was younger than 12 years old. Gerber reportedly bribed the girl with lollipops to not tell anyone about the abuse.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Travis D. Partney handled the case.
Gerber currently is in the Eastern Reception Diagnostic Correctional Center in Bonne Terre.
