Three air-conditioning units at a closed Arnold-area thrift store were rendered useless after copper coil was stolen from them. The damage to the units at the former Good Works Thrift Store, 4009 Jeffco Blvd., was estimated at $20,000, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The theft was reported July 1. As of July 6, the coil had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said.
