Arnold Police have identified a 27-year-old De Soto man as a suspect in a check-cashing scheme that cost a 71-year-old Hillsboro woman $1,450. As of Jan. 10, police were still trying to locate the suspect, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
The Hillsboro woman’s home had been burglarized, and two checks were later forged and cashed at Midwest BankCentre, 1950 Richardson Road. The checks were cashed between midnight Dec. 26 and 11:59 p.m. Dec. 27, the report said.
