A 47-year-old Arnold man was arrested for alleged possession of illegal drugs after he was found slumped behind the wheel of a car at the 7-Eleven convenience store, 3695 West Outer Road, in Arnold. He was arrested Feb. 29, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called to the store at 1:03 a.m. because the man appeared to be unconscious in the parking lot. When officers arrived, the man appeared confused and didn’t seem to know where he was, the report said.
When he was asked to provide his driver’s license, he allegedly tried to hide a small plastic bag that contained a yellow powder suspected to be ground-up Xanax pills, according to the report.
The officer arrested the man and took him to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Capt. Rich Shular said.
