Tools, lawn equipment and other items valued at about $30,000 recently were stolen from a barn in the 1600 block of Saline Road in the Fenton area. The theft happened between 5 p.m. Nov. 4 and 7:30 a.m. Nov. 5, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Stolen items included power saws, drills, concrete and carpentry equipment and a variety of miscellaneous tools and lawn equipment. In all 63 items were stolen, the report said.

It looked like someone may have used a prying tool to force open a door to the barn and stole items from a storage area, according to the report.

None of the stolen items had been recovered as of Wednesday (Nov. 9), and there were no suspects or arrests, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
