Arnold Farmers Market

The Arnold Farmers Market, which usually is held at the front of Arnold City Park, has been relocated to the Arnold Recreation Center because of flooding, and it likely will be held there for at least three more weeks.

The Arnold Farmers Market will open for the season on Saturday (May 4), but not in its regular spot.

Because of predicted flooding from the Meramec River, the Farmers Market will be held on the parking lot near the outdoor pool at the Arnold Recreation Center, 1695 Missouri State Road, said Bryan Richison, the city administrator.

Typically, the Farmers Market is held at the front of Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard.

Richison said the Farmers Market will be held at the rec center for at least the first three weeks of the season.

The Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday, beginning Saturday, through Oct. 19.

After any flooding recedes and the park is cleaned up, the Farmers Market will return to Arnold City Park.

Richison said Arnold City Park is expected to close either Thursday or Friday, May 2-3, because of the expected flooding.

Also, he said some holes at the Arnold Golf Club likely will be closed because of flooding.
