A Eureka woman and a Cedar Hill man were injured in a three-vehicle traffic accident Friday morning (Nov. 8) on Hwy. 30 at New Sugar Creek Road in the Fenton area of Jefferson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Clinton Kline, 61, of Cedar Hill was driving a 1995 Chevrolet G series van east on Hwy. 30 at 11:43 a.m. and was turning onto New Sugar Creek Road when he failed to stop for a red light, and the van hit two vehicles in the westbound lanes of Hwy. 30, a 2016 Ford Transit van driven by Ronald Marchant, 71, of O’Fallon, and a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country auto driven by Norma Hankins, 79, of Eureka.

The report made no mention of injuries to Marchant or to Kline, but a passenger in the Chevrolet, Brian Kline, 32, of Cedar Hill sustained moderate injuries and was taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said, while Hankins had minor injuries and was taken by North Jefferson Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.

Updates on their conditions were not available.

All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Chrysler was totaled, the Chevrolet had moderate damage and the Ford minor damage.
