A Cedar Hill man and woman were hurt Monday afternoon (Sept. 9) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at Valley Dell Drive in unincorporated Fenton. A Festus man also was involved in the accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At about 12:30 p.m., a 65-year-old Festus man was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 east on the highway and allegedly ran a red light while turning left. The pickup struck the left side of an eastbound 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Scott A. Love, 27, of Cedar Hill, the report said.
No injuries were reported for the Festus man. However, Love was seriously hurt, and a passenger in the Corolla – Susan J. Ferguson, 56, Cedar Hill – had minor injuries, the report said.
Both were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
The Corolla was totaled and the pickup was extensively damaged, the report said.
