An Idaho man was seriously injured when his tractor-trailer overturned Saturday evening (Jan. 4) on I-55 at Hwy. 67 south of Festus.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that James Brown, 39, of Newdale, Idaho, was driving a 2016 Peterbilt 579 south on I-55 and attempted to turn onto the ramp to southbound Hwy. 67 at 10:20 p.m. However, the report said, Brown was driving too fast for conditions and drove off the left side of the road, and the truck overturned.
Brown sustained serious injuries and was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, the report said.
An update on his condition was not available.
Brown was wearing a seat belt, the report said. The truck was totaled.
