A St. Louis woman was seriously injured after she was involved in a single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon (Dec. 14) on Hwy. 21 south of De Soto and just north of Washington State Park and the Washington County line.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Dawn Kraemer, 43, was driving a 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 north on Hwy. 21 north of Britton Road at 2:35 p.m. when she attempted to negotiate a curve and the pickup began skidding, then went off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Kraemer was thrown from the truck, which came to rest on the left side of the road.
Kraemer sustained serious injuries and was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on her condition was not available.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the report said. The truck was totaled.
