Thomas W. Treiber, 67, of St. Louis was injured Tuesday morning (June 18) when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup on Hwy. 61-67 at Mackshill in Imperial, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 8:25 a.m., Kendall R. Meloy, 29, of Imperial was driving a northbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and while trying to turn left from Hwy. 61-67 onto Mackshill, she allegedly failed to yield to the 2007 Harley-Davidson FLSTCI that Treiber was riding, and the bike hit the back of the pickup, the report said.
No injury was reported for Meloy.
Treiber, however, was moderately injured and transported by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where he was listed in satisfactory condition, a hospital spokesman said this afternoon (June 19).
Treiber was wearing a helmet, and Meloy was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The motorcycle and pickup were both moderately damaged, the report said.
