A 17-year-old St. Charles woman was injured Wednesday afternoon (July 10) in a one-car accident on Hwy. 67 at Victoria Road southwest of Festus, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:55 p.m., Sarah E. Westerheide, 17, of St. Charles was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt north on Hwy. 67, and the car ran off the left side of the road, crossed the southbound lanes and struck a fence. Then, the car continued north and struck a parked trailer, the report said.
Westerheide was moderately injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The car was moderately damaged, the report said.
