A Hillsboro man was seriously injured in a four-vehicle traffic accident early Friday morning (Aug. 9) on Hwy. MM in House Springs.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Misty Workman, 33, of Dittmer was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 west on Hwy. MM at Tina Drive at 6:40 a.m. when she crossed the center line, and the front of her pickup hit the left side of an eastbound 2008 GMC Acadia driven by Blaire Nixon, 26, of House Springs, and an eastbound 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Lauren Lowe, 27, House Springs. The Dodge pickup then hit head-on an eastbound 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Aaron Mraz, 27, of Hillsboro.

Mraz sustained serious injuries and was taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said. No injuries were reported for the other drivers.

An update on Mraz’s condition was not available.

All four drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said. Nixon’s 2008 GMC Acadia had minor damage, but the other vehicles were totaled.
