Jordan T. Nation-Webb, 21, of High Ridge died early this morning (July 11), a little more than three hours after he was involved in a one-car accident on Hwy. F east of Lake Tekawitha in the Jefferson County portion of Pacific, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
At 10:45 p.m. Wednesday (July 10), Jay Clark, 22, of High Ridge was driving a 2004 Ford Mustang west on the highway and allegedly was travelling too fast for the conditions, and the car slid off the left side of road and struck a metal post and a tree, the report said.
Clark was moderately injured and transported by the Eureka Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, where he was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon, a hospital spokesperson said.
Nation-Webb was taken by Meramec Ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, where he was pronounced dead at 2:07 a.m., the report said.
Clark and Nation-Webb both were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, the patrol reported.
