Two women, including one from De Soto, and an 8-year-old girl were all seriously hurt in an accident involving a flatbed truck Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21) on Hwy. 21 south of De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Michele Hill, 42, of De Soto was driving a 2012 Hino Flatbed truck north on Hwy. 21 south of Grassy Lane when she drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree, and the truck overturned.
Hill and two passengers, both from Cherryville – Deborah Moses, 42, and an 8-year-old girl – all sustained serious injuries and all three were airlifted from the scene by Survival Flight helicopter. Hill was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, Moses to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis and the girl to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
Moses was wearing a seat belt but Hill and the girl were not, the report said. The truck was totaled in the accident.
