A Fenton woman and a Cedar Hill man were hurt Tuesday morning (Dec. 10) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at Industrial Drive in Cedar Hill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:53 a.m., Alisa J. Knotts, 25, of Fenton was headed west in a 2014 Mazda 3 and failed to notice a westbound SUV ahead was slowing to turn right, and the front of the Mazda struck the rear of the SUV, which then ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree, the report said.
In addition, the Mazda ran off the left side of the road and struck the guardrail, according to the report.
Ronnie E. Butler, 76 of Cedar Hill was driving the SUV, a 2014 Ford Escape.
He was moderately injured, and Knotts had minor injuries, and they both were taken by Big River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, where they were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Butler was not wearing a seat belt, and Knotts was wearing one, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
