Two Fenton teenagers and a High Ridge woman were hurt late Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 17) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 at Valley Dell Drive in unincorporated Fenton, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:53 p.m., Kyle P. Murphey, 19, of Fenton was driving a 1986 Dodge Ram west on Hwy. 30 and failed to notice a westbound SUV that was slowing ahead for a red light, and the front of the Ram struck the rear of the SUV, a 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Joey L. Taylor, 45, of High Ridge, the report said.
Murphey was seriously hurt, and a passenger in the Ram – Madisson H. Howell, 18, of Fenton – was moderately injured.
Taylor was moderately hurt, and a passenger in the Tahoe – a 10-year-old boy from High Ridge – had minor injuries, according to the report.
The four were taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Murphey was listed in satisfactory condition this afternoon (Dec. 18), and Taylor and Howell were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
No information about the juvenile’s condition was available.
All of those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
