A De Soto woman was hurt in a two-vehicle traffic accident early Saturday evening (Oct. 12) on Hwy. 21 south of De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Victoria Theiss, 27, of De Soto was driving a 2008 Dodge Avenger south on Hwy. 21 at 6:05 p.m. when she was preparing to turn left onto
Vineland School Road. A southbound 2003 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Michael Lacey, 37, of Festus failed to yield to the Dodge and the front of his pickup ran into the rear of the Dodge.
Lacey was not reportedly hurt in the crash, but Theiss sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.
An update on her condition was not available.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the report said. The Dodge was totaled while the Chevrolet truck had moderate damage.
