Two Bonne Terre men were hurt Friday morning (Jan. 24) in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 67 and Berry Road in St. Francois County. A De Soto man also was involved in the accident but was not hurt, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 5:27 a.m., Martin J. Hankins, 53, of De Soto was driving a southbound 2000 Ford F150 pickup, and Adam R. Bush, 37, of Bonne Terre, driving an eastbound 1997 Honda Accord, allegedly failed to yield to the pickup and the vehicles crashed, the report said.
Bush was moderately hurt, and a passenger in the Accord – William H. Leaders, 51, of Bonne Terre – had minor injuries. Both men were taken by St. Francois County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, according to the report.
All those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were totaled, the report said.
