Alysa R. Bowers, 22, of Cedar Hill has injured Wednesday (Jan. 15) in a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. W in the Hoene Springs area that involved a big rig, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7:05 a.m., George A. Keesling, 55, of Niangua was driving a 2016 Peterbilt east on the highway west of Forest Drive, and the trailer the big rig was towing ran off the right side of the road and then returned to the road before crossing the center line and entering the westbound lanes, causing a westbound car to strike the trailer, the report said.
Bowers was driving the car, a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. She was moderately hurt and taken by ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, according to the report.
No injuries were reported for Keesling.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The car was totaled, and there was minor damage to the big rig, the report said.
