Robert J. Wright, 64, of Cedar Hill was hurt Monday night (Nov. 28) in a two-car accident on Hwy. 30 at Caroline Drive in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
At 8:45 p.m., Wright was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus west on Hwy. 30 and another motorist, in a southbound 2016 Toyota Corolla, had stopped at a red light on Caroline Drive at the intersection with Hwy. 30 but failed to remain stopped for the duration of the light and pulled into the path of the Taurus, the report said.
The front of the Taurus struck the rear driver’s side of the Corolla, according to the report.
Katlin G. Miller, 21, of St. Charles was driving the Corolla. No injuries were reported for her.
Wright sustained moderate injuries and was taken by North Jefferson County Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said today (Nov. 29).
Both Wright and Miller were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Taurus was extensively damaged, and the Corolla was totaled, the report said.
