A Bourbon man was hurt Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 17) in a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. EE south of Old Morse Mill Spur Road in Morse Mill, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 3:33 p.m., Dalton C. Fann, 22, of Bourbon was driving a 2001 Pontiac Aztec north on the highway and swerved to avoid a deer in the road, which caused the vehicle to run off the right side of the road, go down a gully and strike an embankment before becoming airborne and then striking two trees and overturning, the report said.
Fann was moderately hurt and taken by private conveyance to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
The Aztec was totaled, the report said.
