A Ballwin man riding a motorcycle was seriously hurt Friday afternoon (June 7) in a two-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 141 at Cecos Lane northwest of Arnold. A Festus man also was involved in the crash, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 2:30 p.m., Bradley A. Bobenhouse, 45, of Ballwin was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson Street Bob north on Hwy. 141 and while merging from the left lane to the right, Robert J. Koester, 49, of Festus was driving a northbound 2018 Chevrolet Cruze and failed to see the motorcycle slowing for traffic ahead. The front of the car struck the rear of the bike, ejecting Bobenhouse, the report said.
No injuries were reported for Koester. Bobenhouse was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County.
Bobenhouse was wearing a helmet, and Koester was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged, the report said.
