Gloria McDowell took this photo of Patches in 2016 at their home in Festus, when the cat was 13.
“She was an amazing, sweet cat,” McDowell said. “You could do just about anything with her. She allowed me to put this hat on her.”
Patches fit in with McDowell’s other felines.
“We got her as a kitten when one of our neighbor’s cats had a litter,” McDowell said. “I already had other cats. She was the baby of the group. She got along with the other cats.”
Patches died in 2017 but left behind wonderful memories, McDowell said.
“She was beautiful,” McDowell said. “We miss her.”
