Nehemiah has a lot of dirt on his white coat in this photo taken in April 2017 in South Carolina, but he typically stays clean, his owner, Sherry Juniger of Festus, said.
Now 11 ½, Nehemiah is a bichon frise.
“He’s a rescue dog with a lot of health issues,” Juniger said. “He’s not often allowed to play and get dirty, but we were visiting my brother in South Carolina and he was running through very black dirt with their dog.”
She said Nehemiah has been a wonderful pet.
“He’s a very loving dog, has a lot of compassion,” she said. “He will snuggle up to you when you’re having a bad day. He’s very friendly. He loves all kids, dogs, cats. He really doesn’t meet a stranger.”
