Nancy Hoffman said her 5-year-old Pomeranian, Lil Bear, is an attention-craving pet.
“He’s spoiled,” Hoffman said. “He’s our only pet. He loves to be petted. He loves attention. He’ll throw a temper tantrum like a 2-year-old when we leave or when he’s trying to find a toy in his toy box. He jumps around while running around the carpet.”
Here is Lil Bear in a May 2019 photo taken in Hoffman’s home south of Festus, showing him taking possession of a chair.
“He goes from chair to chair in the house,” Hoffman said.
Hoffman said she has always liked the look of the breed.
“He’s our first Pomeranian,” she said. “I always felt they were so cute.”
