Orville Dunshee Jr., 85, of High Ridge died Feb. 13, 2014, at the St. James Veterans Home. Mr. Dunshee was a retired mechanic and a musician who enjoyed playing guitar and mandolin. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Eugene, Mo., he was the son of the late Mary M. (Johnston) and Orville Dunshee Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Dunshee of High Ridge; three daughters: Kathy Smithee of High Ridge and Marjorie (Russell) Herbert and Teresa (Rick Clem) Dunshee, both of Cloverdale, Ind.; a brother: John (Grace) Dunshee of Cedar Hill; two sisters: Geraldine Stough of Ballwin and Wanda (Pat) Patterson of Byrnes Mill; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Gremaud.

Graveside services were held Feb. 21 at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements were under the direction of Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin.
