Fire destroyed a recreational vehicle parked outside a home at 8087 Riverview Drive in Dittmer on Sunday (Oct. 30).
At 1:15 p.m., the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District got a call about the RV fire, Assistant Fire Chief Greg Shuster said.
They arrived at 1:24 p.m.
“When we got there, there was fire from one end to the other end,” Shuster said.
He said firefighters made short work of extinguishing the blaze and were on the scene about an hour, he said.
The RV was unoccupied, Shuster said.
The motor home was a total loss and the cause of the fire was undetermined, he said.
The De Soto Rural, Hillsboro and St. Clair fire districts and the Big River Ambulance District assisted the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District with the fire.
