The body of Shiloh Kappler, 30, was found just before 8 a.m. Saturday (April 18) on a property in the 2300 block of Haverstick School Road in the Festus area, where she had been living with relatives, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
She died from an apparent suicide, Arnhart said.
“No foul play is suspected,” he said. “She had been distraught and had made comments about wanting to harm herself in the past.”
Kappler was reported missing about 8 p.m. March 29.
She had last been seen at the home on Haverstick School Road, Arnhart said.
Relatives discovered her body on the property, which includes several acres, he said.
Kappler is the daughter of Terri Rife of Herculaneum and Gary Kappler of Festus.
