Three people were hurt in a two-car accident at 5:37 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 5) on southbound Hwy. 67 south of Olympian Village.

Timothy K. Williams, 50, Farmington, was driving a 2000 Honda Civic south on Hwy. 67 at North Baisch Drive when he suffered what was termed a medical condition and veered into the right lane of the two-lane highway, striking the rear of a 2002 Volvo Cross Country driven by William R. Stewart, 61, St. Louis, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Williams and a passenger in the Volvo, Elizabeth A. Stewart, 59, St. Louis, sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City, according to the patrol report.

William Stewart sustained minor injuries and also was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson, according to the report.

All were treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.

All three people involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol report.
